Woolworks
Woolworks Studio situated in the former "Servants' Hall" is cheered by a small open fire, where our aim is to create a pleasant, tranquil environment for people to learn or practice their crafts of spinning, natural dyeing, felting, and weaving. Courses are ongoing and arranged to serve demand and interests. Those wishing to use these crafts as a theme for healing retreats are invited to use the accommodation and Studio facilities to find renewal and channel their creativity with a calming, peaceful hobby. Weaving looms are available for those wishing to use them individually or as part of group activity. Various fleeces can be provided for those who need them. The Studio has 10 modern Lendrum spinning wheels and is fully equipped for use by up to 10 people wishing to spin, felt, or natural dye. Two looms are provided for individual use. A small sitting room is available for use in the former "Housekeepers Room". A small enclosed garden is available for those wishing to picnic or spin outdoors in good weather.

Additionally can you spin but have no equipment? Woolworks fully equipped studio can be booked by individuals or groups wishing to work without tuition at £6.00 per hour.

Have you a wheel but need training in its use. A tutor can be booked to help you on a hourly basis to get to know your wheel.
