In the 300 acre estate there are natural woodlands and burns, ancient springs and wells and a private highland spring water supply. Flora including aspen, cedar and elm, and an abundance of snowdrops, daffodils, wild flowers, lichens and fungi including ceps and chanterelles. Fauna include roe deer, pheasants and badgers, rare breed birds and animals including peafowl, geese and other poultry, neolithic Soay sheep and Tamworth pigs on an organic holding.

The estate provides panoramic views over Spey Bay and the Moray Firth to the Black Isle, Sutherland and Caithness.

34 acres of grounds surround the house (known as policies) providing a garden area and a tennis court. There are also 65 hectares of arable farmland producing mainly cereals.
